As part of our commitment to giving back to client communities, LFA organized a group of 20 staff and friends to pack meals on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) — a nonprofit focused on providing food to people in need.

This annual LFA event invites employees to bring family and friends to serve together. This year, our team helped Nappanee Missionary Church reach its goal of 1,000,000+ meals packed. In total, the church reports 1,049,760 meals, most of which will support children in Guatemala, Burkina Faso, and other underserved countries.

Founded in 1987, FMSC partners with local organizations worldwide to distribute nutritionally balanced meals and support communities as they move from relief to development. The organization notes that “every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition,” estimating at least 6,200 children die each day from causes related to undernutrition. Its motto: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.”

This year’s LFA effort was led by Senior Engineering Technician Ginger Hoover and Administrative Assistant Melissa Frankiewicz through the LFA Volunteer & Community Outreach Committee.

“I love helping with Feed My Starving Children every year. It’s nice that LFA supports staff in our desire to make an impact here and globally,” Hoover said. “Plus, everyone had a lot of fun doing it.”

FMSC’s meal formulas are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to address malnutrition and support healthy growth in children. Volunteers like our team play a critical role by packing and preparing these meals for distribution.
