As the bridge was being completed through a separate INDOT contract, LFA was engaged to design and coordinate the beautification of the bridge for the City of LaPorte. LFA’s contributions included bridge lighting, black coated fencing along the bridge railing and bridge beam painting. The orange and black colors are representative of the LaPorte Slicers. Bridge fencing and lighting required additional railroad coordination and approval.
