Lawson-Fisher Associates executed the planning, engineering design, and associated permitting for a new trunk sewer to serve a portion of the City’s northeast service area. The project included approximately 3,660 lineal feet of 24” and 30” gravity sewer, 500 feet of 48” gravity sewer, a 3,000 gpm lift station, 17,000 lf of 20” and 18” force main and three ~800 foot – 24” HDD inverted river crossing siphons. Odor control units were included at both the lift station and the force main discharge point. The phased force main construction utilized both open cut excavation and horizontal directional drill methods. In addition to providing a trunk sanitary sewer for a large service area, the project included elements of the City’s Long Term Control Plan and storm sewer construction.
