High quality design and development is important to us, but so is caring for our community.

LFA goes above and beyond caring for the community. Our outreach programs range from food packing events to community rehabilitation events, to toy drives. Most notably, we’ve been long-time partners with United Way of St. Joseph County, volunteering at their Learning Chapter and Kindergarten Readiness Camps. LFA is committed to helping the lives of children and families in the communities that we serve. We’re changing our community, helping our community, and helping our neighbors.

LFA Addresses Storm Water in Francesville   LFA was assigned this project by INDOT LaPorte District to develop an Abbreviated Engineers Report examining potential solutions and developing a preferred alternative for chronic drainage issues for developed commercial property along US 421 through Francesville, IN. LFA also worked with INDOT staff for improvements through INDOT's Hydraulics Section. 9 ft × 6 ft reinforced concrete box culvert replacement structure crossing US 421 Afterwards, this project was assigned to LFA through an INDOT On-Call Project Development Services agreement. Patterson Joins LFA Ready to Learn

Freeman Patterson Joins LFA for Summer Term   Freeman Patterson,  a Purdue University senior, joins the LFA team this summer as an engineering intern. With an emphasis in structural engineering,  the civil engineering major is looking forward to learning how "actual engineering" works. "You don't really do 'engineering work' in college. It's all math," he said. LFA Helps Mishawaka Move Closer to Separated Sewers Casing Pipe with Augers The City of Mishawaka is in the process of implementing projects that will satisfy the city’s Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) for reducing combined sewer overflows (CSO) to the St. Joseph River. Jones Joins LFA’s Summer Squad

LFA Hires Purdue Junior for Summer Internship Program   Summer Intern Adam Jones A rising junior at Purdue University, Adam Jones said he's excited to learn as much as he can this summer from his internship at LFA. Jones majors in civil engineering and is particularly looking forward to learning how consulting works in the engineering world, he said. LFA Hires Velazquez for Summer Internship   Summer Intern Ruben Velazquez LFA welcomes Civil Engineering Intern Ruben Velazquez to the team this summer as he begins to round out his senior year at Purdue University--Fort Wayne. Velazquez, a civil engineering major, became interested in engineering his sophomore year at South Bend's James Whitcomb Riley High School when he entered its engineering magnet program and teacher Ben Brubaker turned him on to civil engineering and architecture.
