What is your academic (and/or professional) background?
“Dr. Khan has over 12 years of research and consulting experience. His academic background consists of: a Ph.D. degree in Civil-Structural Engineering from the North Carolina State University, USA; an M.S. degree in Earthquake Engineering from the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori di Pavia, Italy; and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. His professional experience in bridge engineering consists of finite element analysis, geometric and seismic design, field testing and assessment, long-term monitoring, and load rating. His significant research contribution includes the development of prestressed concrete U-girder’s standards for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, substantial contribution to the AASHTO Guide Specifications on the seismic analysis of curved bridges, and the development of displacement-based seismic design procedures for deck arch bridges.”

“LFA offers a great work environment where I can contribute to the projects while working with other LFA team members and to also learn new skills.”

“I enjoy fitness and outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, and learning guitar.”
