The Environmental Protection Agency lists stormwater as the primary source of water contamination in the country. It is critical that the public and private sectors work together to protect their community’s water quality and natural resources.
On behalf of a number of regional communities, our engineers have evaluated watersheds, studied stormwater systems, identified best management practices and designed innovative yet practical solutions addressing issues ranging from collection, storage and treatment to conveyance release. One such project for the City of Mishawaka, Indiana, involved plan development for a large storm-trunk sewer including construction of over one mile 120-inch inside-diameter tunnel with a cast-in-place secondary liner inside the steel rib and wood lagging primary liner.
